Rentcations is a guide for people booking vacation rentals and other short-term stays. We explain how to read a listing, what the fees mean, how to avoid scams and what to do when a stay does not go as planned.
Most booking advice is written for hosts. We write for guests: the person comparing listings late at night, wondering why the price jumped at checkout or trying to get a deposit back.
We are independent. We do not list properties, take bookings or rank hosts or booking sites. Platform policies and local rules change, so always read the current terms for your booking.
